No snow this week, so we get to play in the leaves. We didn't quite make it out of pajamas, but lots of fun nevertheless!

This is Lily's face when we say "smile Lily". So funny!
Has anyone seen Sierra?

Hurray for leaves!

Labor Day with Uncle Wayne

Yes, we are about a month behind in posting pictures. But we're trying! Over Labor Day weekend we visited Kelly's uncle Wayne in Glenwood Springs. Before Kelly and I headed out on a white water rafting adventure down the Colorado River, we went hiking near Wayne's house. Even though the trail was a bit of a trick to find, it was well worth the hunt. The scenery by the river was beautiful (and my little tour guide, no more than 2 feet from my ears, was quite entertaining).

A perfect family photo, minus Sierra's snack!

Sierra loved hanging out with Uncle Wayne...

Lily's 1st Birthday

Lily's birthday was a blast--both a blast of hot air (our A/C wasn't working terribly well), and a ton of fun. The Campings, Strunks, Barbers, Manke's and my (Jeff's) mom enjoyed the day with us. Those homemade cupcake's were legendary. Nice work, mom.

Happy Birthday, Lily!

Sierra and Charlotte enjoyed their little kid table for the afternoon.

Nice new digs, Lily!

How fun. We were blessed by some friends who let us stay at their beautiful condo in Breckenridge this past weekend. So fun to get away!

Grandma came to pictures!

Grandma Bev came to visit and Mommy and Daddy got a little break! Hurray! The girls had tons of fun playing with Grandma :)

Mommy and her girls after gymnastics
Sierra just loves her gymnastic class. Running, jumping, swinging, tumbling, parachuting (well, sorta) and playing for a whole hour!

Lily gets to come and watch ...pretty soon she'll be running too (well, crawling at least)

We finally turned a corner with Lily and her eating habits. She has not been a fan of solid foods for the last couple months. But just a couple days ago, she decided to give them a shot! Strawberry yogurt and cereal is her favorite (imagine that), but sweet potatoes and avocados aren't bad either!
Thanks for visiting Grandma!

Well, we're hopelessly behind in our blog posting, so we're going to just throw up some highlights from the past several months. Over Christmas break we went snowshoeing. Although balmy in Denver, when we climbed to 10,000 feet, we realized we were going to have an eventful afternoon. Just getting the snowshoes on in the bone-chilling wind was tricky. But the adorable pictures were worth the travails...

Sierra and I were hunting for moose. No luck, but I sure did get a lot of running commentary on the way!

One adorable little snow bunny...

Christmas in Denver!

We got to spend Christmas day at Deb & Pat's house. We had a great time! Here are the girls in our Christmas pj's that Pat bought us. Pretty cute huh :) (and you can obviously tell that we did not have a white Christmas!)Rib Roast for dinner - wow, Pat knows how to cook his meat!

Tearing off the paper was just about as exciting as the gifts themselves!

New kitchen set from Grandma - so much fun. (But, it's going to stay at Deb's for awhile until we have room for it!)

Wow, is that really the whole family??

The fun, the family, the gifts, the food. We were definitely blessed with a great 2010 Christmas! Even more than all the great times, I was struck this year more than ever as I thought more about the gift God sent us. Jesus came into this world with one purpose. He came to save us. We are given new life and new hope through Jesus our savior because of what began that first Christmas - Jesus entering the world in human flesh, a baby in a manger. Join me in worship for this undeserved gift!
